Our award winning vitamin D training package includes the following:

  • Frontline training for Early Years practitioners aimed to raise awareness about the importance of vitamin D. Delegates will create bespoke action plans to take forward to their workplace. Training includes NICE guidelines; SACN recommendations; dietary sources; at risk groups; benefits to health and risks of deficiency and how to improve your local Healthy Start strategy.
  • Social marketing video and poster for used in GP surgeries, baby clinics, antenatal clinics, children centres and through social media.  Video targets ‘at risk’ groups using culturally appropriate images to convey messages, therefore ideal for those with English as a second language.
  • Family friendly story and song designed to encourage discussion around the importance of vitamin D in pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and children under 5 years

The above package has proven outcomes and won the following awards:

  • NICE shared learning award (finalist)
  • CN Paediatric Professional of the year award based on the above intervention (winner)
  • British Nutrition Foundation Drummond Nutrition Science Communication Award (winner)
